How Kindergarten drove me to Insanity but a Radical Acceptance Mindset Shift Won the day.
What’s up everybody. It’s our WIN IT MINUTE for the day. And today I want to talk about how kindergarten can drive a grown adult to the brink of insanity. Could be me, I don’t know. Let’s start with one of my favorite quotes “If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at tend to change.” This is appropriate for the changing time we are going through as we all know we are in unprecedented times. It’s a different world, It’s a new world. Things are changing daily for us as we’re at home, quarantined trying to deal with all these changes. And you’ve got to have this mindset of radical acceptance. You can’t be waiting for the days to go back to the way that they were. You have to accept the different world that we’re in and the different times and different things. And then once you accept that, then you can move forward and adapt the best you can.
I got to admit I was on the brink of insanity trying to do kindergarten homework with one of my kids. You know, all the schools have shifted to online training and online schooling. And so I’m working with my son and think it’s a piece of cake. And the first couple of days it was insanity. I melted down, I was freaking out, screaming and yelling at the computer and the different attachments we’re trying to fix an open and I was acting…
