How the Secret to Success is actually no Secret at all.
Wherever you are, I hope you’re making it an awesome day because every day gives you the opportunity, no matter the challenges ahead of you to win your day. I recently read a great quote that states: “It’s your attitude, not your aptitude that determines the altitude that you can soar in life”. A great example of this is during quarantine I have been on a lot of bike rides with my kids. My youngest, she still has her training wheels on as I tried to get her to take them off. But she just didn’t have the confidence. She was telling a different story in her own head. She’s four, But long story short, we were out for a bike ride, and a random neighbor walked by and said, “Wow, that young girl’s riding her bike so well, she doesn’t even need training wheels.”
We get home and the first thing my daughter says to me is “Did that neighbor say I didn’t need training wheels?” I said, “Yeah, of course you don’t.” She said, “Okay, I want to take them off.” I took them off, and it ultimately was a a stranger’s remarks that inspired my daughter to finally take her training wheels off, not mine. I tried telling her she was ready. In her own head, she was telling a different story.
