Wherever you are, I hope you’re making it an awesome day, because every day has an opportunity for you to win your day. I was recently inspired as I just got done watching Star Wars with my kids and there were so many inspirational moments they’re going to be filled with over the next few weeks I’m sure, but a quote that stood out the most was, “Your eyes can deceive you, don’t trust them.” That was the great Obi-Wan Kenobi when he was talking about how what you see sometimes isn’t the reality. It’s the way that you’re interpreting it. And your vision of things can be clouded or made more positive or negative by the way that your mindset is and your attitude and your mindset affect you in so many awesome ways.

A great example of this is my youngest son was recently playing with a flashlight and he says, “It just doesn’t really work. I don’t anything with this flashlight dad.” And I said, “No, it doesn’t work like that.” The flashlight doesn’t work in the bright of day. So we went into the garage, it was dark and I turned it on, he said“Wow, this is awesome.” The flashlight was meant to illuminate in dark places. It doesn’t work in the light. That’s what you have to be. You have to be this beacon of light for other people and then train your brain to be that beacon of light because sometimes…
