The Attitude Of Gratitude Wins The Day

We talked about setting up your day for success. Another important component to experiencing the results you want involves having an attitude of gratitude. One great way to practically apply this principle is to realize you “get to” do something instead of “have to”.

This is really powerful.

“I get the opportunity to watch my kid today”, not “I have to watch my kids”.

“I get the opportunity to go to work”, not “I have to go to work”.

Having that mindset encourages me to be thankful for everything that I have in my day, and it will do the same for you.

My mother-in-law always said that if we all sat around a table and shoved our problems to the middle, we would quickly grab our own problems back instead than anyone else’s. At that point, we realize that there are much bigger problems out there.

Consider that many people who live in the United States, the wealthiest country in the world, make a good living — some make a great living. But many more seem to struggle mightily.
